Difficult sites we've made solid
Real foundations on real Shropshire ground.

Sound familiar?
A builder told you your garden's too steep to build on.
You've been quoted thousands for retaining walls or earthworks.
Your ground is clay, peat, or waterlogged — and concrete keeps cracking.
Tree roots or a TPO mean you can't dig traditional foundations.
Ground screws solve all of it.

Engineered to depth
Each screw is set to its own depth — perfect level on any slope, anchored into load-bearing strata below soft ground.
Build the same day
Foundation installed in a day. No curing, no spoil. Your build starts immediately.
Backed for the long term
Our ground screw foundations are built to last. We back every installation with a comprehensive 35-year structural guarantee, ensuring your build remains perfectly level and fully supported for decades.
Why ground screws beat concrete on difficult ground
Each screw set to its own depth — perfect level on any slope
Anchors through soft, wet, or clay ground into load-bearing strata
Zero excavation — no root damage, works around TPOs and conservation areas
No retaining walls, no earthworks, no spoil to remove
Load-bearing instantly — no waiting for concrete to cure
35-year structural guarantee, ~60-year expected lifespan depending on ground conditions

Frequently asked questions
Can you install on a steep gradient?
Yes. We frequently install on severe slopes. By using longer ground screws on the lower sections, we create a perfectly level base framework without any need for retaining walls or excavation.
Are ground screws safe near protected trees?
Absolutely. We use specialized installation equipment that allows us to gently displace roots rather than severing them. This method is often approved by arboriculturalists for sites with Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs).
What happens if you hit a rock underground?
Our industrial equipment can push past smaller rocks. If we hit a large boulder, we typically pre-drill the ground or make slight micro-adjustments to the screw position to bypass the obstacle.
Will clay soil cause the screws to sink?
No. Our screws are driven deep enough to anchor into stable, load-bearing strata beneath the reactive clay layers. Unlike concrete, they are unaffected by surface ground movement.
How long does a complex installation take?
Even on challenging sites, most domestic foundations are completed within a single day. This is significantly faster than the weeks of groundworks required for traditional concrete.
Is a site survey necessary?
Yes, especially for difficult ground. We provide a free, no-obligation site survey to assess slopes, check ground density, and design the optimal screw layout for your specific terrain.
